Snow Days

While Kevin was in Targhee getting some vertical in, we decided that Addie should start early as well and get some of her own vertical in…we went sledding!  Nanna J joined us at Camelsback Park for some sledding and playing.

CAT Skiing at Targhee

Kevin went on a ‘guys’ weekend with some buddies to Grand Targhee for some cat skiing.  They got dumped on, got in about 16,000 vertical feet / day and plenty of beers to wash down a wonderful day on the hill.  A few pictures of the trip below:

The three of us went to our local tree guys at the bottom of Bogus Basin and were greated by the “Tree Amigos” who helped us search out and find our perfect Christmast Tree for 2010.  Addie also found a few treasures outside of just the trees :)

Thanksgiving 2010

This year’s Thanksgiving festivities took us to Portland, Oregon, where Jeff, Christine, Ellie, Hannah and Gino live.  Kevin, Chuck & Chris drove over on Tuesday (spending 10 hours on the drive, ugh) and Addie and I flew over on Wednesday (nice hour flight :) — I think we definintely got the better end of the deal!

A few of the pictures are below:

Cheese!

Addie has learned that when we take the camera out, she should say “cheese!”  It was funny – Kevin brought the camera downstairs and Addie saw the camera (turned off) and immediately yelled “cheese” so Kevin couldn’t help but shoot a few photos of her.
She’s so fun and getting so smart!

Cheese...

An even 'cheasier' "CHEESE"!

Friends Thanksgiving

The 5th Annual Friends Thanksgiving was a blast!  Dana and Frank threw another exquisite party, complete with fall decor, themed “Love” quotes from everyone to share with everyone, free-flowing booze and keg stands!  Here are a few of the pics.

Halloween 2010

The 2nd Halloween w/ Addie had us dressing up as another bug…we went from 2009′s Bees to 2010′s Spiders!  This year was a test of my sewing abilities as I took on making our costumes.  I think they turned out OK for a first-timer :)

We visited Hallows Eve’s Favored Street once again this year, along with making some key stops at our friends house on Harrison.  We started at the Thornton’s and hung out for a while, got a turn to pass out candy and see all the great costumes and Kevin was made accustom to Tim’s traditional liquor shots (I got the pass this year, whew).  Then we made our way down to the Thompson’s where we finished out the night with a chili feed, cupcake decorating and kid madness (I think they outnumbered the adults this year!).

The Saturday before Halloween we joined my brother and his family and my mother for a fun-filled afternoon of Boo at the Zoo.

Yes, you read that correctly.  Kevin and I are in a bowling league, but as you can tell, nobody there really takes each other seriously…part of the fun of it!  We dress up every year for halloween and it only seems to get better every year!  The quote from the bowling leauge master is as follows:

Best Team Costume – The Sore Peeps.  It was a very close call, but the ball factor pushed the Peeps over the top.  The league is still investigating how nobody vomited when the leotarded gentleman did their rally dance.
Best Costume Timeliness – The Chilean Miners.  The outfits were spot on and as far as I could tell the only departure from reality was Slaughter’s name tag.  I don’t recall any Derr T. Sanchez being among the miners trapped underground.
Best Costume Team X2 – The polygamists.  In any other year, this would have probably taken the top spot, but the fact that two teams showed up with the same costumes raised some eyebrows.  Was their collusion?  Did one team steal the idea from the other?  Was Saver’s having a blow out sale on handmade dresses?  If two male polygamists are involved in the homosexual relationship, do all the Sister wives get angry OR is it more like a multi corporation merger, where ALL the assets of both parties are merged in an effort to drive synergies?
Worst Costume Individual – Tom Mogensen.  I have to say that it is hard to pull off Mr. Chow from the hangover when you forget your shiny track leisure jacket, your Chinese accent and look more like the commissioner of a lawn bowling league.
Best Costume Individual “It’s Like Looking Into the Future” – Frank Grinnell.  The comb over, beer belly and jacked up teeth was like looking at Frank circa 2020.  Dana, you are one lucky lady.
Best “Playing Their Characters” Team Costume – Three Fingers.  Between the backspins, worms and stripping the 3 Fingers really got into their characters.  With one more strike I thought we were going to see panties.
Best “Is she even in costume” – Sister wife Dana Grinnell.  Dana for the pious look you were a natural.  If the spine gig goes south you may have a lucrative second career selling bibles at LAX.

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch out near Kuna with the Dahlbergs and Chrismans.  It was amazing!  They thought of everything from a ‘corn box,’ to pony rides to hay rides, to fair swings to trains (pulled by an old school tractor) — it was quite an experience!

Camel -- Kevin's really not tugging on his ear, but scratching it and Mr. Camel loved it so much he was leaning into Kevin.

Our first pony ride! Addie enjoyed it while we were sitting there -- she wasn't to sure about it once we got going.

Happy to be finished with her pony ride

Friday Hang Outs

This friday was a leisure night with some hangouts around the house and good, mellow times with the family.

Getting tickled...

The attitude starts!

A few close friends of the Clooners got together to throw them an engagement party for the memory books!

The lavish party consisted of everything Italian (going along with the theme of Clayton’s heritage and some foreshadowing of their wedding ideas) from a family-style dinner to Italian music, Chianti, tirimisu, Italian almonds and…a slideshow of how they became the Clooners (not so Italian, but very friends appropriate).

I think I’m joined by all of the Clooner’s friends when I say we can’t wait for your big day!  We love you guys!!!

Park Time

We have become frequenters of all Boise parks as Addie loves the slides and crawling around on the newest and different equipment each park has to offer.  This was just a lazy afternoon at the park this year.

One of my favorite pictures ever! Kevin running around and Addie laughing histerically because of it.

Excited she has a ball

Taking a water break

Slides! One of her favorite things!
