Girls weekend took Suzie and I to Portland, Oregon to hang out with Christine. I’m convinced that Christine secretly hacked into the CIA database (learning the intricacies of what Suzie and I enjoy) and put together what would make for an absolute perfect day for everyone! And so we head to Dobbes Winery for what they call Vino & Vinyasa (Wine and Yoga :)…sounds perfect, doesn’t it!?
The yoga experience was sensational, with an ambiance like that of no other! We were taken to the wine barrel room, complete with all the romance of wine smells, candle light, inspirational music and amazing women. Interestingly enough, no men showed up to the yoga session, so we had the room full of strong women ready to enjoy some inner peace and a free spirit…little did we know it would be an amazing bonding experience between not only close friends, but also between every woman in the class that I now hold an element of friendship for due to a great, open bonding experience, enhanced by the perfect setting with so many cool women!
Dobbes Winery not only has their wines figured out (amazing!), but they also added the experience and ambiance of what has made a “frozen picture” in my memory. It will be an experience that will last a lifetime!
The tasting room with some amazing chairs made from wine barrels (Chuck, we know how you like challenges –we’d LOVE some of these :)
Three amigos (Christine, Suzie and myself)
The amazing ambiance of our yoga session
Oh gosh, I guess I’ll have to taste that again so I can fully grasp what you are trying to explain about the finish (ha!)
We had the honor of meeting Joe Dobbes himself, along with his oober cute son! Of note, Joe was one of the most humble, incredibly nice and genuine wine owners I’ve ever met in my life – which is what was the icing on already one of the best days ever! I think Dobbes has created 3 very faithful wine followers…
Our extended group of friends that were also the icing on the cake! What amazing, lovely and spit-fire ladies!
Finishing the wine tasting journey at a French Winery not far from Dobbes and headed for massages — not sure we could have done anything different to make the day more amazing.
Thanks Christine!
